
MOTHER'S VOICES PROGRAMS
Mother`s Voices Georgia provides motivating workshop trainers and keynote speakers who provide expertise to women’s organizations on financial literacy, affordable housing and improved health outcomes. Without continual advocacy and systematic changes addressing gender, race, wealth equity, housing and education, women both in the U.S. and globally will continue to be at highest risk for poverty, homelessness, chronic illnesses, domestic violence and abuse.
SMART WOMEN & MONEY
The Smart Women & Money workshop series explores topics vital to women’s economic survival in America and globally. They include:
How to plan for a secure retirement despite wage gaps, unemployment, part-time work status caregiving and working while female.
Black women money matters examines systematic wage, gender and race inequality realities and future solutions for working women of color in America.
Elder Abuse and Fraud explores the growing Baby Boomer population and its affordable housing crisis.
Budgeting Basics explores real world, practical solutions for budgeting in todays inflated economy.

FOR REAL YOUTH PROGRAM
A 14-week HIV/STD and life skills program taught in youth prisons, run away shelters and after school programs that teaches at-risk youth ages 12 to 17 years HIV/STD prevention education, substance abuse (tobacco) prevention, family violence prevention, minimizing risky behaviors, hate crime prevention, positive decision making, financial education for youth, improving communication skills and art therapy. The program has been supported by United Way of Metro Atlanta, Atlanta Women’s Foundation and the Green Fund.
PARENT'S EVENING OUT
A seven-week HIV/STD and life skills educational program for adults ages 20 to 64 years old that teaches minimizing risky behavior, talking to your children about responsible sexual health, finding stable relationships/loving self, substance abuse prevention, family violence prevention, improved parent/child communication and financial education.
WOMEN'S PUBLIC ADVOCATE
In collaboration with the Georgia AIDS Coalition, MV-Georgia has developed a 4-hour session teaching at-risk women about the legislative process at the federal, state and community level and how to use those skills to advocate for self and community.
MV’s advocacy workshops conducted at community centers, faith-based and college settings has reached over 600 women and men of color in the U.S.A. and over 1,200 internationally in the countries of Gabon, Nigeria, Ghana and India.
Our e-mail legislative alerts reach over 5,000 women and women’s organizations who are concerned about economic security and health disparity issues both domestically and globally.
MV advocacy topics include: Affordable Health Care, Access to Health Care, Prevention of Sex Trafficking, Pay Equity, Prevention of Predatory Lending Practices, Housing Equity, Education, Social Security and Juvenile Justice
FINDING OUR VOICE
Talking To Our Children About Sexuality and AIDS

Responsible sexual health is part of every parents’ dialogue with their children. However, oftentimes out own risky sexual history may make it hard to talk realistically with our children about how they can protect themselves. This workshop raises awareness about HIV/STDS among women and youth of color. Features the Mothers’ Voices educational booklet and work materials,
Finding Our Voices, which helps parents of at-risk youth discuss what are the facts about HIV/STDs and how can parents and youth find a voice and shared vision of responsible sexual health.
MV has presented workshops for Fulton County’s Department of Wellness HIV/AIDS program staff, the DeKalb County Board of Health’s HIV/STD staff, the Boys and Girls Club of East Atlanta, Department of Family and Children’s Services, DeKalb County Children’s Shelter, Pantersville Regional Youth Detention Center, Metro Youth Detention Center, Jack and Jill of DeKalb, Goodwill Industries, William T White III Family Resource Center, Positive Peaches and the DeKalb Prevention Alliance, Inc Youth Empowerment Day.
